Hospital

I had a fall Monday morning fracturing my patella/kneecap and have been in hospital since. Yesterday I had surgery to wire the patella together which went well. The pain is surprisingly minimal – boredom mostly as i don’t have a television and have only had three small meals since Monday.

My family has been amazing, especially my mother for organising a private room and pushing everything along. Nick has been here as much as possible which has been great. It’s tough we work for the same employer now we’re down a staff member but with that everyone there is very understanding and covering a lot of shifts.

Looking forward to going home and starting physio and learning to use my leg correctly. Until then – looking forward to seeing nick and eating breakfast.

My legs are usually quite lean but the swelling is intense.

    Please note my legs are usually quite small and in these pictures they are quite swollen. I now have another brace on it so I am unable to bend / move it.
